Charles Inniss

Charles Inniss

Musical Theatre Writer, songwriter, Educator.

Although we are twins, we’ve come to our present songwriting partnership from different places. Charles discovered his desire to be a music producer at 13 years old, when he was gifted an old style karaoke machine with a 2 deck tape recorder. By that time he had been taking piano and flute lessons, and had begun a life long love affair with the music of Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones. Using all of these influences, he would create tracks featuring solo flute and voice, weaving Jackson-esque vocals with early 90’s synth grooves. Chris came to songwriting and producing through his absolute love for virtuosic voices. As a kid, Chris played the piano and excelled in playing the orchestral trombone. However, it was in college that Chris uncovered a passion for vocal music, falling in love with pop vocal dynamos like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Chris spent much of his college and graduate school days crafting vocal a cappella arrangements, and concurrently began writing his own melodies.
