Fermin Suero Jr.

Originally from Perth Amboy NJ, and of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent, Fermin's path was non-traditional‚ nearly failing the 12th grade and dropping out of three institutions‚ before earning a B.A. in Theatre from Rutgers University (2018) and a Master of Music from NYU Steinhardt (2021).

After graduating NYU, Fermin moved to LA to be mentored by and work for Kuk Harrell (vocal producer for Rihanna, Beyonce, Mary J Blige). Fermin is now a Grammy-nominated audio engineer with credits spanning major artists including Saweetie, Dua Lipa, Muni Long, and LISA (of BLACKPINK).

Alongside his work in studios, Fermin has a deep love for musicals, especially the Disney classics he grew up with. He was selected for the Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project in 2022 and is currently in his second year as a lyricist in the prestigious BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Writing Program. He also releases his own Hip-Hop/R&B songs under the artist project REXX DIAZ.
